Whenever I’m out on the hiking/walking trails, I’m on the lookout for interesting things to photograph along the way.
Shortly after Christmas, I was surprised by this little ornament hung on a pine tree branch. As far as I’ve noticed, she’s the only one.
Today, it seemed that she had been moved to a different branch from the last time I was on that trail. When I arrived back home, I checked back in my photos and confirmed that thought. I then wondered how many times she had been moved since I last walked this trail.
For a split second, I considered moving her, but after rethinking it (I’m well known for over-thinking things), I decided to leave her be, just in case it was the same hiker changing her spot on the tree as some sort of marker.
“One of the most beneficial and valuable gifts we can give to ourselves in this life: is allowing ourselves to be surprised! It is okay if life surprises you. Its a good thing!”

Isn’t it funny she was moved? Maybe she blew off, another walker picked her up and placed her in a new home…. Could be. Or not. I am hoping you’ll keep your eye out for her to know if she moves again. How long will she be there? To spring? Another year? Lots of fun to ponder. Enjoy your day!

Thank you for reading and for your comments, Betty. Yes – very many things to consider 😊 I do this particular trail once every few weeks, so I’ll be sure to watch for her and any changes. I hope you have a great Saturday!
