Despite cold temperatures yesterday, the bright afternoon winter sun was too tempting to resist.

I bundled up and out I went for a 3.22 Km (2 mile) power walk. It wasn’t my preferred distance of 6K but it was better than sitting on the couch and getting zero K.

I was able to maintain very close to my summer power walk pace throughout and was able to do the following times in heart rate zones: 19 minutes at peak, 15 minutes at cardio, 5 minutes at fat burn, and zero minutes below zones.

The clean, crisp fresh air and the sun shining brightly on the freshly groomed walking paths added to the overall feeling of health and wellness.

“Some old-fashioned things like fresh air and sunshine are hard to beat.”
