After 2 days of winds that reached 130 km/h (80 mph) and higher in our area, I decided to do a city walk vs a trail.
I surveyed the damage of shingles missing from roofs, fences blown over or badly damaged, and buildings with siding blown away.
Perhaps among the saddest things to see was the tops snapped off so many of the magestic old pine trees that line our city streets.
The power of wind is awesome and frightening.
“For example, the wind has its reasons. We just don’t notice as we go about our lives. But then, at some point, we are made to notice. The wind envelops you with a certain purpose in mind, and it rocks you.”
