This morning, I walked along the riverbank.
Although it’s cold and stark these days, there’s still beauty as the sun begins to rise.
This is my favourite summer bench where I often sit and enjoy the geese and ducks landing on and taking flight from the river.
“ I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
~ Lewis Carroll
What a beautiful spot! I have more than once posted a picture of a bench at a favorite spot. I always enjoy these spots to rest, write, or think. Places like this, with a welcoming bench, are one of life’s simple joys.
