Last year on this day, we visited Port Isabel, TX. We enjoyed our 3 hour walkabout around this historical town.
My featured image is the Port Isabel Lighthouse . This was an operating lighthouse until the 1960’s. Since then, it has been given national historic designation
I liked this shot, with the lighthouse framed by the wood carving of two fish. I wish I had taken the time to frame the lighthouse more in the center. These things sometimes happen when there’s so much to see. My hope is that we can return some day so I can try to compose the shot again.
“I wish to spend a lifetime near a lighthouse where loneliness will be the glimmer of luminous prancing upon ocean waves… rising and falling only for my breathing.”
