This rustic fence sits on some of the property of King Ranch near Kingsville, Texas.

We were fortunate to visit King Ranch last year around this time for the annual Ranch Hands’ Breakfast.

This is the only day each year that private vehicles are allowed on the ranch.

Although there was no power walking involved, the duration more than made up for the speed.

We learned much about early Texas history during our six plus hours walkabout.
