A few weeks ago, I spotted this painted tree stump while walking along a quiet trail.

Since then, whenever I’ve looked at the photo, I’ve wondered if it was an attempt by someone to add some art and colour along the path, if it’s a marker of some sort, or if it’s a pride statement that’s missing a couple of colours.

Whatever the intent, it adds to the charm and mystery of an otherwise typical wooded path.
