This old iron bridge creates a beautiful rustic window for the autumn scene behind it. It makes me think of retirement and how I sometimes find myself looking back at the last days of my career.

After looking back for a few wistful moments, I ground myself back to the present. The bridge can also symbolize the connection to the mysteries of what lies ahead.

My morning walks give me the opportunity and time to not only be with nature in the present, but to enjoy reflection on the past and anticipation of the future.

“Retirement from Job does not mean retirement from life! It is the beginning not an end!”
