Most mornings, en route to my walking trails, I walk past this memorial bell.
I’ve photographed this spot from many angles, in all seasons, and at many different times of day. The shimmering copper roof of the bell enclosure and the bricks of the building behind it seem to go hand in glove.
The sunlight, shadows, and reflections all come together for a dance at just the right time of the morning.
“To the complaint, ‘There are no people in these photographs,’ I respond, There are always two people: the photographer and the viewer.”
~ Ansel Adams
