After a 40+ years full time career, I retired from nursing almost 6 years ago. It’s hard to believe how fast that time has gone.

Two years ago, I took up power walking to address potential health issues I was facing. The benefits have been far beyond my initial expectations.

One of my fave places to walk is through a wildlife habitat along the river in our small prairie city. It’s always serene and peacefulgood for my body and my soul.

“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world’s great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters.”
