The wildflowers along my walking paths add to the enjoyment of my power walks.

Photographing these gems of nature can be challenging. Because I don’t carry a heavy camera, even the slightest breeze can make a shot with a phone a bit tricky.

Another challenge is to decide the best shooting mode for what I’m trying to capture. I lean mostly towards macro because I love the details, but that’s not always the best choice.

The next challenge is trying to identify the flowers I’ve shot. I use an image search app and find it to be helpful most times. Other times, I can spend hours searching and come up with only close matches, so it becomes a guessing game.

Despite the challenges, photographing the wonderful things in nature adds a fun and rewarding bonus to my walks.
