The Golden Bean (sometimes called Buffalo Bean) is apparently a common wildflower in our area. I discovered them last week (for the first time in my life) alongside one of my walking trails that winds through a nature habitat.

The large, kite-shaped patch was profuse with bright yellow blossoms – a beautiful, though delayed, welcome to spring on the prairies.

“Wildflowers don’t grow haphazardly as we are led to believe. They grow in fantastic patterns which are different to each of us you see.”
