I find that bees are one of the most difficult insects to capture clearly in a photograph – especially when I’m shooting with my iPhone camera and no tripod. I’m not sure what the tiny insect is at 1 o’clock from the bee, but whatever it was, it stood still like a perfect model.

The saying goes, “The best camera is the one you have with you.”  When I’m on my walking trails, my iPhone is that camera, so my goal is to become proficient with it. I’m not a photography purist. My joy in photography comes from capturing moments as I come across them, rather than heading out on planned photo shoots. For this reason alone, my iPhone is becoming my favorite camera.

Aerodynamically, the bumble bee shouldn’t be able to fly, but the bumble bee doesn’t know it so it goes on flying anyway. ~ Mary Kay Ash
