“Weeping Willow” is a commissioned work that has her permanent home in the Meditation Garden of Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Melfort, Saskatchewan, Canada.
The metal sculpture of a weeping angel with wings of willow branches is the creation of Melfort welder and artist, Rob Jung.
Melfort was my home town for over 20 years, so I visited Weeping Willow last Autumn when we traveled to visit our daughter and grandchildren before we headed south for the winter.
These days, while practicing self isolation, and social distancing, I’m reviewing many of my photos from the past year.
This photo of Weeping Willow spoke to me today, as my heart goes out to all of those who have lost loved ones to Covid 19.
“It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.”
