The many varieties of birds we saw at the feeding station at the National Butterfly Center in Mission, TX didn’t seem to mind sharing their space (or their food) with each other. These Red-winged Blackbirds and Green Jays were just one grouping of many who fed together that day.
They gathered together to take the seed, didn’t hoard, and took what they needed and no more.
We humans can learn a lot from these birds.
Everyone likes birds. What wild creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world, as universal as a bird?
